Exporting is the final step, but it is also where many good designs lose quality. A Sinhala poster can have a strong layout and still fail if the text is cropped, the canvas size is wrong, the logo is too close to the edge, or the exported file is blurry. Before exporting PNG artwork from a canvas editor, take a short checklist approach. It saves time and prevents embarrassing mistakes after publishing.

First, confirm the canvas size. If the artwork is for an Instagram story, it should be vertical. If it is for a Facebook link-style post, landscape may be better. If it is for a square feed post, use a square canvas from the beginning. Do not design everything in one format and hope every platform crops it correctly. Cropping can remove phone numbers, logos, and important Sinhala words.

Second, check the safe margins. Keep important details away from the edges. Social apps sometimes add interface overlays, rounded previews, or crop thumbnails. A safe margin around the headline, logo, and contact details helps the design survive different previews. This is especially important for story designs, where profile names and buttons can cover the top or bottom area.

Third, zoom out and check readability. Sinhala letters can look beautiful at full editor size but become difficult to read on a phone. If a line is too long, break it into two lines. If the text is too decorative, switch to a simpler Unicode font. If the background is too busy, add an overlay or move the text to a cleaner area.

Fourth, remove unused layers or hidden experiments before export. Extra layers can confuse future edits and sometimes make the canvas slower on mobile. Fifth, export as PNG when text clarity matters. JPG can be useful for photos, but PNG usually keeps sharp edges better for typography. Finally, open the exported file on your phone before posting. If it looks clean there, it is much more likely to work for your audience.

Keep a backup copy of the editable design whenever possible. If you later need to change the price, date, Sinhala spelling, or phone number, editing the original layered design is much faster than rebuilding from a flat PNG. This is especially useful for event posters and hotel promotions that repeat every month. A simple naming system such as business-name-date-size also helps you find the correct file when a client asks for a revision.
