Best Canvas Sizes for Facebook, Instagram, and Travel Promotions

The correct canvas size saves time and keeps your Sinhala text sharp after publishing. If you design a story inside a square canvas, important text may be cropped. If you design a Facebook post too small, it may look soft on larger screens.

• Instagram and Facebook Story: 1080 x 1920 pixels.
• Square post: 1080 x 1080 pixels.
• Facebook link-style post: 1200 x 630 pixels.

Choose by purpose

Stories are best for quick announcements, hotel offers, event reminders, and travel reels. Square posts are easy for general updates. Wide Facebook posts work well when the image and title need to sit side by side. Portrait posts give more room for Sinhala headlines and photos.

Keep safe margins

Do not place phone numbers, prices, or Sinhala headlines at the very edge. Keep the important text inside a comfortable center area. This is especially important for stories because app buttons and profile areas can cover the top and bottom.

Export advice

Export as PNG when the design has text, logos, or flat color shapes. Use JPEG only when file size is more important than sharp edges. For Sinhala text posters, PNG is usually the cleaner choice.
